Neurofeedback

I will hosting a free presentation Monday evening, December 14, 7 pm, by Jessica Eure, on the use of a novel neurofeedback process useful to induce calm and retrain the brain towards optimal functioning. Jessica will also make available the HeartMath technology useful for giving real time feedback on the impact of emotions on the physical heart. I am quite excited to learn more about these technologies and would like to share news of this with all of you interested in psychospiritual development.

This event, while free, is by pre-registration only. Please email your intention to attend. Below is a description of Jessica’s talk.

Warmly,

Len Worley, Ph.D.

Restoration and Creativity Enhancement

By deepening your understanding of the energetics of your brain and heart, you can begin to more easily recognize physiological states of stress and exhaustion, as well as states of deep relaxation, focus and balance. What happens to our brainwaves when we experience trauma? What happens when we meditate?

On the cutting edge of mind-body technology, neurofeedback is a non-invasive, non-pharmaceutical technique used to balance, calm and regulate brainwaves to affect our mental and physical experience of life. Heart coherence biofeedback training, using HeartMath and Healing Rhythms software and a finger sensor, teaches a person to recognize when their heart is in a coherent state, a reflection of balance between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.

Jessica Eure, LPC, a mental health counselor and brainwave and heart coherence biofeedback clinician will present useful and easily understood information about brainwaves and how one can learn to change their brain and heart energetics to relieve symptoms ranging from low mood and anxiety to sleep issues and difficulty focusing. One person at the talk will be given the opportunity to experience neurofeedback and see their brainwaves in real time with the use of an EEG machine and biofeedback software.
